Product Description
This series of current transformers features an epoxy‑resin‑cast, fully enclosed insulation design. They are suitable for use in power systems with a rated frequency of 50 Hz or 60 Hz for electrical energy metering. These transformers can replace oil‑immersed LB‑type units, eliminating oil contamination and fire hazards, reducing maintenance requirements, and meeting the growing demand for oil‑free operation.
This type of current transformer uses epoxy resin as the primary insulating material, offering excellent arc resistance, UV resistance, and aging resistance. The core is made of high‑permeability, premium magnetic material and undergoes an annealing process. Both the primary and secondary windings, along with the core, are encapsulated in epoxy resin, providing superior insulation performance. The primary terminals are located at the top of the encapsulation; they are marked P1 and P2. The secondary terminals are marked 1S1 and 1S2. The transformer is of subtractive polarity.
